RE-PLY & Other “RE” Words
OK, now with 2 Sunday mornings in my rear view mirror and a chance to share a RE-flection…I want to first start by saying “THANK YOU” for the great send-off on July 25 coupled with New Life’s 5th anniversary party… what a great day… worship attendance was very strong at both service times and not only did we take a big step of faith…we experienced a “God’s-business-as-usual” kind of Sunday as we greeted new visitors, welcomed old visitors back, saw the Schroder family (Ike, Madeline, and son Will) join our congregation by affirmation of baptism and bid farewell and Godspeed to Bill & Cindy Welch and their son, Kelly as they re-locate to Spokane, WA where Kelly begins his pre-seminary studies at Pacific Lutheran University there.
Your many ‘surprise’ reflections and good encouraging words to me on July 25 have been heart-warming…thank you again… as they were chalk full of “RE” words…and so it is probably appropriate to list them here for those who read this blog…words to give some direction and depth for life at a time like this…
REST. RE-LAX. RE-TREAT. READ. RE-FLECT. RE-NEW. RE-ENERGIZE. RE-FOCUS. RE-VIEW. RE-LIVE. RE-WIND. RE-CENTER. RE-CONNECT. RE-VISIT. RE-LEARN. RE-MEMBER. RE-STORE. RE-THINK. RE-SPOND. RE-CALL. RE-FER. RE-TURN.
What a RE-warding and RE-vealing list of ‘RE’ words…don’t you think?
So, I’ve taken to heart the words…rest…relax and remember… I’m remembering you in my prayers and I’ve tried real hard to rest and relax…time at the beach and watching old movies have helped…my highlight for last Friday was watching the old Disney movie… ”Davey Crockett and the River Pirates…” and over the weekend I re-viewed the mini-series… “The Blue and The Gray” both movies causing me to re-call how blessed we all are…
My next post will include reflections on my Sunday worship experiences… Brian
